ANABEL POH
A multidisciplinary designer from Singapore, based in the Netherlands. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in the Man & Wellbeing Department in Design Academy Eindhoven.
Her practice combines products, spatial installations and film. She attempts to surface the relevance of ritualistic living within an urban and digital age. She also loves raw natural materials and Mars.
Her guiding principles derive from Buddhism, not as a religion but as a way of life. Universal values such as transience, acceptance, empathy and compassion.
How do we apply these principals into our lives? How do we learn from the past? How do we sustain a post-urban lifestyle in an urban environment? How do we ensure that rituals sustain? How do we design for preservation, durability and against throw-away culture? How do we sustain the value of being human within an age of automation?
