Deliverpoo in collaboration with Philips

As a substitute for a sewage system DeliverPoo collects, analyses and distributes human waste. In a steady state society human poo is considered a valuable resource as it can be turned into fertilizer, fuel, food, water and even medicine. Poo can be rich in residual medication as well as provide necessary gut bacteria that can produce chemicals to treat certain illnesses. By transplanting stool from healthy donors to patients in the form of ‘fecal pills’, the patients’ microbiomes can be restored.
