you can lie down & still travel the world

A homage to Google Earth.

You can lie down & still travel the world is a collection of objects & prints that attempts to make Google Earth relatable in our physical reality, playing with scale, imagery, material and print.  A 1:1 print of a Google Earth image in real physical dimensions and a 1/1500 scale model of Google Earth images of the Grand Canyon as a multi-levelled table with a printed stone.

The digital media has become an intangible material that we interact with daily. However, how do we materialise the immaterial? How do we relate ourselves to something so much larger than us?
